Ireland’s Belfast Telegraph’s first introduction to NRS Media was through the AD Impact™ solution. Initially the media partner, by its own admission, was sceptical about the level of revenue generation forecast, but once engaged in the rigorous program the efforts were soon rewarded with results.

“Our advertiser count was declining and we were therefore becoming overly dependent on a reduced number of clients,” says commercial director Simon Mann. “It was clear we needed to create a steady flow of new advertisers with whom we could develop long-term business relationships.”

What the entire process had delivered for the Belfast Telegraph was a shortcut to a greater number of clients to visit each month, more secured revenue, plus more opportunities to up-sell clients into features and supplement publications. Most importantly, a comprehensive, fully-qualified database has been built as the platform to prospect further from.

It also delivered a revitalised sales team, with insights into individual strengths and weaknesses, plus quality sales training and inventory management, according to Mann. Now they’ve seen it, the direct media sales team at the Belfast Telegraph do believe it – the goal was to increase the customer base and advertiser count in the publication, which is exactly what eventuated.
